What is the PTA?
PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association, which is an organisation of parents and staff. Its role is to encourage closer links between home and school. The PTA’s main focus is fundraising. Fundraising events provide an opportunity for parents, staff and pupils to get together for the benefit of the school.
How is money raised?
The PTA arrange all kinds of events, ranging from film nights, Summer/Christmas fairs, and cake sales - to name a few. We are always looking for new fundraising ideas. Do you have any?
How is the money used?
Funds raised by the PTA are intended to provide ‘extras’ not already provided by the school’s main income - fun and educational things that make learning more interesting and exciting for pupils.
